Default [SOLVED] ZCS 5.0.10 Problems

Hi All,

I just started having issues with my Zimbra Server (Open Source Edition), which I use to host about 12 mailboxes, not very big at all.

Everything was working great, until this morning when I came in, and found that the mailboxd process wasn't running, also giving an SQL related error.

I attempted to stop/start the process multiple times with no luck. Also did a server reboot. The only think that happened during the evening was the "backup", which is a simple script that STOPS Zimbra Services, then Rsync's the information to both a local directory archive and a remote-archive.

I have since moved my working zimbra from /opt/zimbra to /tmp/zimbra_broken, then ran a "re-install" of the SAME version, then moved my /tmp/zimbra_broken back to /opt/zimbra

I seen this error during the "re-install/upgrade"

Quote:
ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: ZimbraLdapContext) (cause: javax.naming.CommunicationException localhost:389)
I'm now getting the following for errors:

Quote:
[zimbra@zimbra opt]$ zmcontrol start
Host zimbra.ssiinc.local
Starting ldap...Done.
Starting logger...Done.
Starting mailbox...Done.
Starting antispam...Done.
Starting antivirus...Done.
Starting snmp...Done.
Starting spell...Done.
Starting mta...FAILED
postsuper: fatal: scan_dir_push: open directory defer: Permission denied
postfix failed to start

Starting stats...Done.
[zimbra@zimbra opt]$ zmcontrol status
Host zimbra.ssiinc.local
antispam Running
antivirus Running
ldap Running
logger Running
mailbox Stopped
mysql.server is not running
zmmailboxdctl is not running
mta Stopped
postfix is not running
saslauthd is running with pid 2489
snmp Running
spell Running
stats Stopped

Any help would be very much appreciated. If you need any additional information, please let me know.

Thanks,

Jeff

I've also ran "zmfixperms" and chown -R zimbra:zimbra /opt/zimbra

and still no luck.

OK,

I'm no longer receiving the MTA errors about Postfix.

I'm simple stuck on getting the Mailboxes to load.

Quote:
mailbox Stopped
zmmailboxdctl is not running
I also found this in my /var/log/zimbra.log

Quote:
Apr 6 10:14:18 zimbra zmmailboxdmgr[22935]: stale pid 20259 found in /opt/zimbra/log/zmmailboxd_manager.pid: No such process
