I am trying to change my ldap filter from %u=uid to %n=mail (mail is a field in the ldap server the exactly matches their zimbra email address). I have successfully queried the AD through zimbra and can authentication against their user id but I really want to authenticate against the mail field.
Any help is appreciated.

Yes.. but I can not get any of the examples to work. I have no problem with the zimbra username is equal to the AD user name. But when I want to authenticate against something other than the AD user name it always fails. I have been making the changes in ZMProv and I see the changes reflected in the GUI but I never see any difference.
