thanks for you help. Now i have solved this problem. I can access the admin page. But I am not able to get to the normal login page. I did change the port to 8080 as there is an apache installed on this machine as well..

Do i have to do any further configuration.. ?

Now i can access the admin page on 7071 but cannot access the login interface. Ports are fine and zmcontrol status says all services are running fine.

I have apache installed on this machine as well. Do during config i changed the port to 8080.

Can any one suggest any solutions?????

Sounds like you still have a conflict going on between Zimbra and Apache. I've installed Zimbra a few times on clean minimal installs of CentOS 5.2 and never had an issue.

From how Zimbra is setup it seems to me that it should be viewed as more of an appliance, than an application that you install alongside other applications. This is no different than how Microsoft recommends Exchange to be installed.

To get around all this I use VMware, but Xen with paravirtualized guests would probably work even better. I have a guest for LAMP and a guest for Zimbra. I use the reverse proxy module in Apache to get around only having one static IP.

Check whether ZCS is even running on port 8080 by using
Code:
netstat -an | grep 8080
If it is not then please perform a clean stop and start of ZCS and post the logfiles again.

Default The port is already in use

You should run netstat -pln | grep to figure out which program is listening on the specified port.
