Default External LDAP auth failing in Multinode installation

Hi,

I have a production server running on zcs-network-5.0.13 on Ubuntu 6.06, and is using AD for user auth, as of now there was no issue with this installation.

Today I have added one more server in another location as an ldap slave and the existing production server as Master ldap server. After the installation all the datas replicated successfully to the replica server and test with "zmprov gaa" results all accounts currently present in the master server.

But the problem is that users are not able to login through the new server, seems to be the AD authentication is not happening. The following are the error found in the mailbox.log.

2009-03-04 14:33:44,939 WARN [btpool0-9] [name=myname@mydomain.com;ip=117.192.107.2;ua=Zimbr aWebClient - FF3.0 (Linux);] account - ad auth for domain mydomain.com failed, fall back to zimbra default auth mechanism
2009-03-04 14:33:44,940 INFO [btpool0-9] [name=myname@mydomain.com;ip=117.192.107.2;ua=Zimbr aWebClient - FF3.0 (Linux);] SoapEngine - handler exception: authentication failed for myname, invalid password

Anybody have any idea why it is happening like this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

If the authentication is through internal ldap, both the servers are able to authenticate users, but if authentication is through external ldap (AD) user authentication happening only on the master Zimbra ldap server not working on replica Zimbra server.

Any help on this will much appreciated.

Thanks,
Premod

Did you ever find a fix for this?

Nevermind, looks like there was a configuration issue on the second server.
