Default Zimbra + Backupninja?

Hey everyone. I'm trying to get backup-ninja working on a zimbra server, running ubuntu 8.04. Apt states that backup-ninja is dependent on exim4, however I know there are conflicts with having exim4 running on a server that has zimbra installed. Does anyone know how to work around this and get backupninja installed? Thanks

Exim must be running or just installed? If it's just installed then there's no problem if it isn't running.

Not sure which. backupninja's site says nothing about exim, apt-get just says it will also be installed. how would i disable it from actually running to see if that works?

well i tried installing it and upon reboot i got:
postfix is not running
saslauthd is running with pid 4346

Apparently it also installed mailx. i'll try compiling backupninja from source and seeing if that works. Does anyone else use backupninja with zimbra?

I don't know if people are still interested in this. I have just run into the same problem while migrating to a new server (and new configuration, for example with backups).

I have disabled exim4 by doing

Code:
update-rc.d -f exim4 remove
I have just finished installing, then will be running my first backup. I am also going to change the /etc/backupninja.conf reportemail setting to a full email address on my zimbra server.
