Default Authentication against own or external LDAP?

Hi,

I was wondering if you have to deploy a ZCS installation in an environment where they are planning to have a LDAP server so different applications can authenticate against it, if you can do that those app do that against zimbra LDAP or you suggest that a "neutral" LDAP be created (using OpenLDAP for example) and put ZCS to authenticate against it?

Thanks in advance.

You can use an external server for authenticating Zimbra users.
