    Wrong as you are still getting mixed up between the server FQDN and the hostname. So if you ZCS server FQDN is mail.abc.com and the other domain you with to add is demo.example.com then the named files would be like :-

    /etc/named.conf
    Code:
    zone "abc.com" IN {
       type master;
       file "db.abc.com";
       allow-update { none; };
    };

    zone "216.16.172.in-addr.arpa" IN {
       type master;
       file "named.172.16.216";
       allow-update { none; };
    };

    zone "demo.example.com" IN {
       type master;
       file "db.demo.example.com";
       allow-update { none; };
    };
    db.abc.com
    Code:
    ;
    ; Addresses and other host information.
    ;
    @ IN SOA abc.com root.abc.com. (
       10118 ; Serial
       43200 ; Refresh
       3600 ; Retry
       3600000 ; Expire
       2592000 ) ; Minimum

    ; Define the nameservers and the mail servers

       IN   NS   mail
       IN   MX   10   mail
       mail   IN   A     172.16.216.11
    db.demo.example.com
    Code:
    @ IN SOA demo.example.com root.demo.example.com. (
       10118 ; Serial
       43200 ; Refresh
       3600 ; Retry
       3600000 ; Expire
       2592000 ) ; Minimum

    ; Define the nameservers and the mail servers

       IN   NS   mail.abc.com.
       IN   MX   10   mail.abc.com.
    named.172.16.216
    Code:
    @ IN SOA abc.com. root.abc.com. (

       20080103 ; Serial
       28800 ; Refresh
       14400 ; Retry
       3600000 ; Expire
       86400 ) ; Minimum

    ; Define the Nameservers

       IN   NS   mail.abc.com.
       11   IN   PTR   mail.abc.com.
    Obviously remember to increment the serial number after any changes so that the named daemon knows what to reload.

    Thanks for your reply and clarification.

    Here one doubt ...do not we need to put mx record for demo.example.com?

    And while installing zimbra i m putting demo.example.com to create domain name so it can check MX record entry...

    In above situation..it will take abc.com bu default as it already have MX record....

    Am i on correct ??

    demo.example.com is the domain and that already has a MX record which points to
    Code:
    IN   MX   10   mail.abc.com.
    When installing ZCS why are you using demo.example.com and not abc.com ? The zmhostname will be mail.abc.com and then you would add demo.example.com as a additional domain within the Admin GUI.

    Why are you using two domain names on the server? You should set-up the server with one domain name (abc.com) then add the second one after the installation, you can then also add the additional DNS records. Doing this by your current method is causing you more confusion.

    Stop posting the same message!

    Use the default domain name for the installation and add the other domain after Zimbra is running.
