Default Zimbra Web Console freezes at splash screen for one user

Hi All,

We have one user that this happens to. She enters her login credentials and it just freezes at the Zimbra splash screen. For all other users, this screen just flashes for a split second and then they are in their mailbox.

The current workaround is: if you click on "Standard Version" on this screen that its frozen on, it pushes her into her mailbox in the standard version. She can then click on "Advanced" and her mailbox loads up fine.

Anyone ever seen this ? Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks

Does this happen just on one computer ? What browser is it ? Have you cleared the browser cache ?

We are seeing the same symptoms here. IE8 and firefox on windows xp, Firefox 3.6 and chromium 5.0.342.9 on ubuntu 1004 all have the same problem with the same user account. Clearing cache did not help.

Our fix may be different:

In mailbox.log, an error was thrown as the user attempted to log in:
at com.zimbra.cs.account.AccountServiceException.ACCO UNT_INACTIVE(AccountServiceException.java:303)

Turns out that this was a child account which had recently been disabled. Removing the child account from this account fixed the problem.

Not sure if this is a bug, and how to fix: maybe allow login but disable the child account view in the gui?
