Cannot enter LDAP URL in GAL Configuration Wizard

Launched the GAL configuration wizard and changed GAL to external from internal. I click next on the next screen I try to enter my ldap server url.

If the server name begins with a number but is not an IP addrss you will get an error "Value did not match valid values". You can either enter an IP address or a server name that does not begin with a number

This field should accept any FQDN. Before you can complete the configuration there is a test run and you cannot finish until the test is successful

Can this be fixed at the command line?
