Default [SOLVED] Alter delivery of mail to the same domain

Normally on a Zimbra server you setup a domain (domain.com). If you send a message from your Zimbra server to user@domain.com it does not lookup the MX record of domain.com but rather just attempts to do local delivery of the message (this is pretty normal email server operation).

My question is, Is there any way for force an MX lookup on domain.com even if that domain is setup on the Zimbra server. I want to send email from the Zimbra server and have it routed to another server rather than delivered locally.

I realize this is a screwy way to do things but it will solve a problem I am trying to fix.

You could try Wiki :: Postfix Transport Tables.

Default Very Cool

Thank you for the link. That helped me fix the issue.

The instructions had a small error in them. When the instructions tell you to create your transport map file it says:
vi /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/transportfile
otherdomain.com :[smtp.otherdomain.com]

Mine would not work until I did
vi /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/transportfile
otherdomain.com relay:[smtp.otherdomain.com]
