Default mta issue

hello,
i'm experiencing some mta problems with my new zimbra 6 standalone mail server un ubuntu installation,
no mail local mail is being received.

mail.local default domain
. inbound smtp name: 127.0.0.1

server mta configuration:
. web mail host name: 127.0.0.1 (port 25)
. mra blank
. time out 60"
. enable dns lookup
. mta networks: 127.0.0.0/8 X.X.X.0/24

mta global settings:
. auth on
. not only ssl
. web mail host name: 127.0.0.1 (port 25)
. mra blank
. inbound smtp name: 127.0.0.1
. enable dns lookup

cannot see any mail message from my@mail.local to my@mail.local
cannot see any mail message un administration queue tool.
what am i doing wrong?

Even a beta of version 6 is not available yet so lets actually see which one you are running
Code:
su - zimbra
zmcontrol -v
could you also post the details of the following as we shall need to see whether your DNS is setup correctly
Code:
cat /etc/hosts
cat /etc/resolv.conf
dig yourdomain.com mx
dig yourdomain.com any
host `hostname` <- note backticks and not single quotes. Type exactly as shown

sorry for the 6 keyboard jump.
apparently after a services restart zimbra is working correctly.
