hi;

1- for the first question (mail.cnops.org.ma and your new Zimbra box as mailsrv.cnops.org.ma), yes that's what i want to do.

2- Before installing FC3+Zimbra i created an MX record on cnops.org.ma (in mail.cnops.org.ma : windows DNS ) as (mail1.cnops.org.ma, delay:11) which points to 212.217.42.251;

3- i installed bind on mailsrv.cnopsorg.ma and i configured it as below :

File : 212.217.42.rev
$ttl 38400
42.217.212.in-addr.arpa. IN SOA mailsrv.cnops.org.ma. admin.cnops.org.ma. (
1113749615
10800
3600
604800
38400 )
42.217.212.in-addr.arpa. IN NS mailsrv.cnops.org.ma.
251.42.217.212.in-addr.arpa. IN PTR mailsrv.
251.42.217.212.in-addr.arpa. IN PTR mailsrv.cnops.org.ma.

File : cnops.org.ma.hosts

$ttl 38400
cnops.org.ma. IN SOA mailsrv.cnops.org.ma. admin.cnops.org.ma. (
1113749456
10800
3600
604800
38400 )
cnops.org.ma. IN NS mailsrv.cnops.org.ma.
mailsrv.cnops.org.ma. IN A 212.217.42.251
cnops.org.ma. IN MX 11 mailsrv.cnops.org.ma

And this is my resolv.conf file content :

search cnops.org.ma
nameserver 212.217.42.251 (it's zimbra server: mailsrv.cnops.org.ma)
nameserver 212.217.42.226 (it's mail.cnops.org.ma)
nameserver 212.217.0.1 (it's the local ISP DNS)

3-i have another question about the confidentiality.
Am'i maked mistake to reveale my real informations in this forum?

think's;

Your cnops.org.ma.hosts file isn't set-up correctly, you need to have it look like this:

Code:
$ttl 38400
@	IN	SOA	hostname.mydomain.com. root.hostname.mydomain.com. (
			2005110200
			10800
			3600
			604800
			38400 )
@	      IN	NS	hostname.mydomain.com.
@             IN        MX     10 hostname.mydomain.com.
@	      IN	A	192.168.1.3
hostname IN        A       192.168.1.3
mail1       IN	      CNAME	hostname
mail2       IN        CNAME     hostname
Where it says 'hostname' that should be only mailsrv for your system not the FQDN.

I don't think posting your details is any great risk as you're on a public IP and not very hard to find but if it bothers you then just edit out the details.

Try and see if you can connect to the zimbra server, it should be OK. If it doesn't work and (I guess) there's nothing on your server that you need then remove zimbra with './install.sh -u' that will remove all the files. Before you reinstall make sure that there are no zimbra services still running, if there are then kill them and reinstall zimbra. That should see you witha working system.

You need to use the full domain name & user name for login i.e. admin@somedomain.com

Glad it's all working.

If you look in the Translation forum you'll see the French translation is in the thread directly below your post, I seem to remember that the 'how to install' is in that thread.
