Default [SOLVED] Zimbra cant access admin console

I have installed Ubuntu 8.04 with the xubuntu desktop and what I believe is a successful Zimbra - bind9 - setup. The Zimbra install went good but I can not access the admin console (https://my.domain.com:7071/zimbraAdmin/). My zmcontrol status indicates "unable to determine enabled services from ldap. Any thoughts?

You have to check you /etc/hosts file and make certain it is set up correctly.

Sorry for this log post. My etc/hosts is as followed... I'm thinking it has something to do with Bind9, DNS settings.

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
10.5.50.102 mail.gatorzmail.com mail

#a bunch of ip6 tables....
--------------------------------------------------------------------
If I run dig on my MX record from my mail server I get this reply.

root# dig gatorzmail.com mx

;gatorzmail.com. 604800 IN MX

;; ANSWER SECTION:
gatorzmail.com. 604800 IN MX 10 mail.gatorzmail.com

;; ADDITIONAL SECTION:
mail.gatorzmail.com 604800 IN A 10.5.50.102

If I run dig from another server 'not on same network' I get this.

Please post the following
Code:
cat /etc/hosts
cat /etc/resolv.conf
dig yourdomain mx
dig yourdomain any
host `hostname` <- note backticks and not single quotes

That is an exellently written document and happens to be the same one I used for my setup! Do you see anything out of the norm?

I have not disabled IP tables. Is there a quick command to do so?

My /opt/zimbra/log/startup.log states the following.

Host localhost
Unable to determine enabled services from ldap.
Unable to determine enabled services. Cache is out of date or doesn't exit.

Are there certain services that need to be turned off that may be conflicting with Zimbra?
