Mate i've just Clt-Alt-F1 and moved into console mode and opened the file with vi but i don't know how to post the resulting log (i'm actually on my laptop & have the server next to me :-)).

the first line of the error log is : zmtomcatstart: info: stale pid 27076 in pid file: no such process
