Default Is it possible to install Zimbra without LDAP?

I'm trying to install a temporary instance of Zimbra as a last-ditch effort to recover messages stored in a permanently failed instance.

Because the new install is temporary, I only need the basic services. I keep telling install.sh to not install LDAP, but it does it anyway.

It's not possible to install Zimbra without the LDAP service, most of the configuration is in there.

Perhaps if you describe the problem you're having someone will be able to help.
