If what you are trying to do is replicate the zimbra master information to a slave ldap server then - yes this is possble using sync replication cllient that is built into openldap. But why you would want to do this, I am not sure. It would be easier to do what has been suggested with a multiserver setup.

Yes, what we want is to do smtp-in with our own postfix installation (with ldap data from zimbra)
We are planning to migrate our architecture to Zimbra severs, but we have to leave the smtp gateways untouchable.
Thouse smtp gateways are in a remote location that it makes impossible to them to query zimbra ldap for every incoming mail.
Then we thought that this could be done installing a replica of zimbra-ldap data into an openldap in thouse smtp-gw.
