Default Fedora Core 5

As some of you may or may not have seen the first test version of Fedora Core 5 has been release. Now I know Zimbra supports core 3, and a lot of people are running core 4 with miniscual changes. My thought would be to bypass the offical release of Zimbra for FC4, if there were even plans for it, and possibly start looking a offical FC5. That is only if Zimbra is planning on heading that way.

Default Chances are

that we'll drop FC3, and go with FC4 and FC5 - but as yet, there's no plan around this. We'll almost certainly wait for FC5 to get out of test release, tho - chasing test versions is a lot of effort, for minimal gain.

Question Will Zimbra install on FC5?

Hello,

I'll be setting up a new server soon, and I'd hate to install FC4 on it when FC5 is now out. Will Zimbra for FC4 install on FC5? Anyone tried?

Thanks,
Brent

Tried it got farther than that

um i think the command i ran was ln -s /lib/libssl.so.6 /lib/libssl.so.6
But I cannot get ldap to start because there is no libbind.so.3 on a fc 5 install
yum install bind-libs?

what is the search term for the howto to install zimbra using existing services in fc5 as I have the needed services already running and would like to integrate zimbra into it.

OK. Judging from other related posts it seems the issue is different library versions. I am not at all familiar with library versions under linux but it seems the problem would be fixed if zcs were linked against standard libraries (libssl.so instead of libssl.so.5, etc.). Just my two cents...
