Default Gal

I have Zimbra Release 5.0.9_GA_2533.RHEL5_20080815101705 RHEL5 NETWORK edition up and running. I can authenticate my users against MS AD – w2k8. I can search the GAL but the results are to broad.

Server type LDAP
with filter |(cn=%s*)(sn=%s*)(gn=%s*)(mail=%s*))

In AD, I have users Test1 User1, samid tuser1 and Test2 User2, samid tuser2. If I search on tuser1, tuser2, test1, test2… I get the results you would expect. If I search on “t” however I get every AD object that has the letter “t” in the name.

We are not running Exchange.
How do I restrict the search/results to users or mail enabled groups?

I tried to get service type “Active Directory” to work but all tests failed – search returned no results. I read that this was a known but in previous version of Zimbra but have not found a reference if this issue has been resolved.
