Cool RHES 4 and partitionning

Hi all,

I read the HOWTO in order to install Zimbra correctly on a RHES.
Do you know if there are some reasons to make only one partition /?

Is it possible to make several partitions like /tmp, /var and /opt?
Are they known problems?

Actually I have a HP server with two disks RAID1 (36Go) and 4 disks RAID5 (140Go). I though to make the following partitions:
RAID1: / (15Go)
/tmp (2Go)
/var (19Go)

RAID5: /opt (140Go)

Do you think this can be a good way?

Thanks a lot

Mike

Yeah that's fine. In general the partitioning for larger multi-node installs would likely more complex. Especially with HSM you'll create multiple volumes for the various stages of HSM.
