[SOLVED] check state of SAN in Zimbra cluster

I've mounted a single node cluster with zimbra, and I have a point I'd like to check.

My cluster woks fine, but when the active node hasn't access to data in SAN, the cluster doesn't check if the standby node has access to data in SAN. If the standby node has access to data in SAN, this should be the owner of cluster.

Any solution?

Well without passing the buck I reckon this would be one for our main man Klug who has extensive RHCS knowledge with ZCS.

"Extensive knowledge" might be a little too much...
"Having RHCS in production and fighting with them" is a better definition 8))

The way the RHCS scripts work (on defining which node is active) is checking (with zmstatus) that everything is running right on the "active" node.

If ZCS fails on the active node (for whatever reason), RHCS starts the ZCS services on the other node while fencing the first node (this is extremely important : don't use RHCS without a _working_ fence system).

If the second node (that should now becomes active) can not start ZCS (because it does not have SAN access for example), you're stuck.
RHCS will try to start ZCS on the other (first node) that is now down (because fenced).

A single node cluster with RHCS and ZCS relies on the idea your SAN is always on and accessible from your two nodes.
