Default Cluster Name longer than 16 characters?

Dear All,

Testing ZCS NE edition HA feature now, and following the document:
Cluster install for Single-Node Configuration.

however, the cluster failed to start (service cman start), and we
found it's caused by cluster name longer than 16 characters.

Is there any advice how we can avoid this limit?

Thanks.

That's a RHCS limit, not ZCS...

If there's a solution (I doubt), you should ask on the RHCS mailing list.

What I've done is just following the document from Zimbra,
thus i have no idea this is RHCS's limit.
Thanks for correcting me on this.

Anyway, if RHCS has such limit, then how can I avoid this issue?
it's true that our domain name will be longer than 16 characters.

I wonder can we just input hostname only during ZCS HA installation/configuration?

Please advise, Thanks.

By the way, Zimbra should also make correction to the cluster
installation document , e.g. it uses 'cluster.example.com'
as example, and obviously it's longer than 16 characters.

You should not have a 16 chars limit on the "cluster service hostname".

This limit is, AFAIK, on the "cluster name".
In the doc, that's in the "ZCS Cluster Configuration steps".
The "cluster name" is used by RHCS to identify your cluster and create the correct cluster.conf configuration file.
