Default ?nptl...missing

I tried to install Zimbra, but had the installation stop stating NPTL is MISSING

First off new to LINUX, what is NPTL, and how do I install it, I am running the install on a CENTOS release.

Thanks

Th server is hosted on a XEN virtual server. If you tell me how to find out the emulated architecture I chould be able to tell you otherwise I'd assume it was a x86 standard.

Thanks
