Firs to of all appologise if this goes out twice, it's my first post attempt to the forum and a previous post a couple of hours ago didn't make it for some reason, so trying again with different subject.
I have a big problem trying to upgrade from version 4.5.6 to anything. I have tried going to 4.5.8 and 4.5.11 as well as 5.0.0. In each case I run into the same issue.
My install is open source version 4.5.6 on Ubuntu server 6.06
When I run the upgrade everything seems fine until it tries to restore things and I get a bunch of errors (see below for output). It seems that when the deb packages are removed, much more gets removed than is supposed to. For one the store folder is empty after this happens, and the files that it's complaining about are also missing. I've done this about 20 times now (restoring from backup every time, which is taking forever), trying different things I've found on forums, and now I'm completely stumped and getting quite desperate as this process is very disruptive at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've also attached zmsetup.log from my last attempt.
