Question possible to run open source and network editon

I have a network edition and wonder if its possible to set up an open source server running in parallel with the same domain name? Or is it worth the hassle as it will only ever have maybe 10 or 20 users.

How would I go about it?

I *think* the answer is no, but the reason is that email to a given domain has to go to a single (logical) MX receiver, and you can't -- so far as I know -- run FOSS and NE coupled into the same cluster.

You can't run/manage NE & FOSS from the same LDAP master - you'd have to do a Split Domain - Zimbra :: Wiki (2 full systems daisy chained, with your public mx record pointing to your primary).

A subdomain or maybe a second domain entirely is what I would do.

Thanks to all for the replies.
Seems like way too much work when its only for maybe 10 users. I think what we save on licenses will be spent on time setting this up and hardware.
