Default verification of message store database error

Hi There I started installing the new version(5.0.9) of zimbra on top of an older version(5.0.6) but when I was doing a verification of the message store database it came up with an error which read : Error assertion '-x /bin/mysqld_safe 'failed. does anyone know what this message means? Also after doing a zmcontrol status it came up with permsission denied cannot execute: Success
Unable to determine enabled services from ldap.
Unable to determine enabled services. Cache is out of date or doesnt exist.
Again anyone know about this at all?

Hi

It appears that mysqld_safe is missing the execute bit. You should this to run:

chmod 755 /opt/zimbra/mysql/mysqld_safe

Hope this helps

Hi

Due to a typing error, the command should have been chmod, NOT chown. Try that, it should work.
