[SOLVED] HELP! server crash

My server recently got unplugged an now I can't get zimbra to start.

here is the message I'm getting.

zimbra@mail:/etc/syslog-ng$ zmcontrol start
unix dgram connect: No such file or directory at /opt/zimbra/zimbramon/lib/Zimbra/Mon/Logger.pm line 41
no connection to syslog available at /opt/zimbra/zimbramon/lib/Zimbra/Mon/Logger.pm line 41

NOTES:
I recently installed cacti on this box. I was trying to integrate the syslog plugin with syslog-ng. I backed up the config before i monkeyed with it. I restored back to the original config and still no dice.

What is on line 41 in that file ? Is your syslogd still running ?

how do I verify that syslogd is running?

tried /etc/init.d/syslogd restart

didn't get anything/

well after dinking around for awhile i had to reinstall sysklogd via apt-get install sysklogd

then I got to do an upgrade and its back up and running.
