Hi all,
I have a installation of ZCS Network 5.0.9 running on a SuSE Linux 10 ES 64bit. The environment is running in a VMWare hosted on a Mac OS X 10.5.4 Server.
As for the basic installation, most seems to work fine:
- Admin login
- Creating new users
- User login (web)
- Autocompleting from GAL (web)
- Sending/receiving inbound emails
- iCal WebDav implementation
- ...
For the moment, my biggest problem is that I have never been able to synchronize the GAL to my BlackBerry Professional (Express) Server to create th BBY user.
I was following the step by step instructions from "ZCS Connector for Blackberry.pdf". There was one issue which I think might have been a problem: I was not able to install the "Instant Search KB940157" which seems to be required by Outlook 2007 ("The version of Windows you have installed does not match the update you are trying to install").
I am running the BlackBerry Server on second VMWare (same subnet) - having Windows Server 2003 R2 SP1 and BlackBerry Professional 4.1. The BlackBerry service itself seems to be absolutely fine.
Of course, my next step will be to redo the BlackBerry part as I understood that it might be the solution when something initially goes wrong with the GAL synchronization.
Any suggestions what to take care of or what I might try are welcome.
Thanks,
Frank
Stupid little thing: ALWAYS READ THE MANUAL CAREFULLY
I simply did not realize the requirement of https configuration (port 443) for ZCB
