Question [SOLVED] Zimbra Upgrade / Mail Store Verify

Hey Everyone,

We are planning an upgrade from 5.0.6 to 5.0.9 and when we first started using zimbra, we had roughly 30 accounts on 5.0.4. We recently finished migrating all our users to the system and are concerned about the time it will take for the next upgrade, specifically, the mail store verify.

We have roughly 11,500 users now with about 460GB or 29-30M inodes on a 10 disks, 10K RPM SCSI raid10 2gb SAN. To compare, a friend has a similar powered system with 90 users, 75GB, 4M inodes it took 4hours to verify the store.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions for just skipping the verify? I'm afraid the downtime window for something of this size will be far beyond what our customers will accept.

PS: We will be upgrading from FOSS to NE 5.0.9

We made the verification process optional because of the time constraints on large installs.

The installer just runs zmdbintegrityreport which can be run without downtime before you start the upgrade. If you are already running 5.0.6 this script already runs automatically once a week and if it hasn't reported any errors you can safely skip it during upgrade.
