Default Release 5.0.9 for Ubuntu 8.04 on 7.10?

Can i use the build for Ubuntu 8.04 on 7.10 or should i still go with the one for 6.06 which has worked so far?

I use 7.10 by the way.

There will possible be some dependancy issues trying this, but it's likely possible to make it work.

However, installation onto a distribution other than the intended one can never be recommended. It may work, sure; but given that it's easier to just install a supported platform, I'd go with that option.
