Question Zimbra on debian AMD64 (No 32 emu)

1) Any experiences so far ?

2) Should it be compiled from source, or can the Debian package be used as is ?

3) If all package dependencies are installed, would there be anything else avioding a succesfull installation on AMD64 Debian ?

Have a nice day, out there.

Best regards Daniel Mersebak

Probably same as other Linux distro's: make sure you have all the needed Perl modules in your site perl, and don't use the ZImbra perl modules included. The Zimbra perl modules do not work in a 64bit Perl environment.

edit: just noticed the "no 32emu" part of the title In that case, compile from source.

Default AMD64 howto?

Does anyone have a howto on installing Zimbra on Debian on an AMD64 Opteron system? I'd really like to run Zimbra, but I'm not a full time server admin and don't have time for trial and error.

I'm open to compiling from scratch, or installing the 32 bit version. I do not currently have any other 32bit packages installed, so the server may need to be prepped for that...

Thanks.
