Default Changing zmhostname

Hi.

I installed zcs-3.0_1_VMWare_FC4. The virtual machine work fine and
I have access to the OS from remote machine via network.

The zimbra configuration has localhost.localdomain for the zmhostname
and this may causes the following problem.

When I access the zimbra client ("http://ip-address/") and click "Log on"
button after entering username and password, the client goes forward to
"http://localhost.localdomain/zimbra/auth/". Since the access is not from
the zimbra installed machine but from a remote host, the forwarding causes
error. I guess I have to modifiy the configuration of hostname displayed by
`zmhostname`.

Please let me know the way to modify the zmhostname.

Thank you.

The easiest and quickest method of doing that would be to reinstall Zimbra and change the hostneame when you do it, you'll also need to check your hosts file is set correctly - search the forums for that one.

Yes, but you must make sure that your hosts file is correct before doing the install. When you get to the option of commiting the changes you should also make sure your domain is set correctly there.

Yes, reinstalling is easy. But what about all the old data?
User mails, calendars, contacts, etc?
Copy them back to the /opt/zimbra?
Will that work - now that the machine has a new host name??
thank you.
