Default Ubuntu 8 FOSS -> CentOS NE -> RHEL NE -- Best strategy?

Hi folks. I've been using the NE version with Ubuntu 6.06.2 quite a bit, our trial ran out and I moved our test box to Ubuntu 8.04 and FOSS 5.07. It works fine and I have moved it into a production ready status. I had lost my funding but the requirement for the new server was there, thus swapped NE to FOSS.

Now I've got an extension on our trial and the execs say I'll have funding in a month'ish, but I need the server in place yesterday. While I had been using Ubuntu, I plan to move to RHEL once the new server is in place.

For the time being would installing CentOS along with NE 5.08 be the best move or stick with Ubuntu and move down to 6.06 so I can install the NE version?

By your profile I'm guessing you went with 6.06:

In case you're talking about another system, here's a good method of changing platforms:
Moving ZCS to Another Server » Zimbra :: Blog
-It revolves around part 3's ./install.sh -s and installing just the packages, then you copy in your config & data.
-Use the same ZCS version number on both sides.
-Helps to keep UID & GIDs the same.

As for choice of platform pick from this list for NE: http://www.zimbra.com/products/downloads.html
-Ubuntu 8.04 is on the radar.
-While CentOS isn't on that list, it's 99% like RHEL where it matters for ZCS.
So it really just becomes a CentOS vs Ubuntu debate - that I won't stir up intentionally

I had originally had our test set up on Ubuntu 6.06 with NE, I tested 8.04 with FOSS as well. My rep at Zimbra was able to get us an extension, so it's back to NE with Ubuntu 6.06 and migrate to RHEL with NE once I have funding for my new server.
