Smile New ZCS Installation

Hi All,

We are currently using Zimbra 4.5 Open Source over Ubuntu 6.0.6 and want to upgrade the Server to latest.

Please suggest the suitable OS suites with new version of ZCS Open Source.

Thanks & Regards
Keemat

So, are you starting fresh or do you need to upgrade your existing installation? If you are going to do an upgrade I'd say grab the latest version of Zimbra (5.0.7) and stick with Ubuntu 6.0.6, as it is one of the supported OS's. If you are starting fresh, again grab the latest version of Zimbra, and then the OS is really a matter of preference of which distro you feel most comfortable with. I highly recommend picking an OS that is supported by Zimbra. If you are looking for an up to date OS personally I'd suggest RHEL 5 (or the freely available "clone" CentOS 5).

Could you also let us know the full version you're currently running? (zmcontrol -v) as we might recommend a 4.5.11 upgrade first before going to 5.0.7 if you're currently running like 4.5.6 or earlier.
