What is it that you're asking as I don't understand your question. If you're still asking if Zimbra can use another IMAP server then the answer is still the same, no it can't. If that's not the question then please explain in a bit more detail what it is you're asking.

I've already told you this several times already - it's not possible and that functionality is not likely to be added, there is already an IMAP server in Zimbra and it has to be installed as a complete package.

I would just add that, there are no other solutions that build on to an exsisting service. Something like that would have to be built or peicemailed together. Enterprise solutions such as Zimbra, Microsoft Exchange, and Scalix. All build around a total solution.

As for the migration of imap accounts to zimbra, its not a difficult process. And since Zimbra is build off of opensource standards. There is a large support base and utilties to help you out.

I was able to migrate 40 users over to zimbra from Microsoft Exchange with in a couple of days. I am kind of disapointed in some of the replys here. Generally telling you 'NO' and not asking you specifics why you can't move from your old email system. I know that uprooting an email system can be a daunting task for both the IT team and the users. But with the support from Zimbra Support and community migrating to Zimbra is not as hard as it might think.

Ask all the questions you want here before you make your final desition. I know if you do decide to move to Zimbra you will be very pleased.

He has already been asked 'why' and keeps stating that he only wants to use the groupware features with his current IMAP mail setup.
