Default Antispam not listed in zmcontrol status output

I recently upgraded to 5.0.7 GA FOSS on Ubuntu 6.10

It seems like antispam filters are doing nothing - I don't see any of the spam information in email headers, and spam continually goes to the inbox.

I have reduced the default score settings, and added all recommended RBLs.

zmantispamctl status reports:
amavisd running pid: [some pid]

zmcontrol status reports:
antivirus Running
ldap Running
logger Running
mailbox Running
mta Running
snmp Running
spell Running
stats Running

cat /var/log/zimbra.log | grep antispam gives me nothing.

I've searched the fora, but was unable to find anything indicating what might be the cause. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here. Can someone point me in the right direction? Many thanks.

Did you a) install the anti-spam during the initial install and b) is it enabled in the admin UI?

I don't recall the installation giving me a choice to install or not install antispam.

Oh, the Admin UI. You mean the most obvious first place to check? No, of course I didn't check that. I'm a genius and the simple solutions are too far beneath me.

(Yeah, it was unchecked, and once I checked it, everything's square. Sigh.)
