Exclamation Offline Restore NE woes

Hi,

i did an upgrade from NE 5.0.6 to NE 5.0.7, which failed miserably due too an OS issue. Obviously i did a full backup before the procedure, thus i tried to uninstall everything, install from scratch 5.0.6, following instructions in the Admin Guide for the offline restore of the mentioned full backup, to no avail. Even by following to the letter the Admin Guide indications , looking at online forum posts about this issue like this

Failed to switch servers

thus being sure that passwords for everything match the one from the backup localconfig.xml, and double checking all zimbra installation settings, i couldn't restore successfully everything.

What i managed to do instead, is to make the zmrestoreoffline restore all the zimbra configuration, but not the account: when i try to restore all of them nothing happens, but when i do it with just one account i get:

Error Code: account.NO_SUCH_ACCOUNT Message: no such account: Account ID for user@domain not found in backup Details:soap:Sender

in the web interface and this from zmrestore -ra -a user@domain

Error occurred: no such account: Account ID for user@domain not found in backup

What's going on? I've checked the backup folder with the backup query utility, it's fine; had a look myself to see if IDs matched in the backup account xmls against ldap entries, it's fine... i'm outta clues, and this is happening on a production server!!!!

Moreover, the fresh install of NE 5.0.6 has issues with postfix, mentioned here

showq permissions failure

and here

postdrop fail to create file after upgrade to 5.0.3

any clue would be really appreciated..

thanks

Currently being handled by support case 25822 & I don't want to inadvertently contradict directions given, so we'll let them handle it there & summarize later. Let us know if you should still need anything.
