Default virtual hosts

i have a question about virtual hosts which im not too sure about.


i have mail.domain.com server and domain.com as domain under zimbra.

i also have example.com as a domain under zimbra. i have created dave@domain.com email and test@example.com emails.

i can login with only username with dave and password. but need the full email for test@example.com to login.


i thought virtual hosts was for this but it don't work. so i thought i'd ask you great guys here.

hope somebody can help me

i'm a noobie here. just want to add, i went through the wiki and the information wasn't very detailed so i find myself asking here on the forum
