Default Zimbra on LDAP server machine

I'm trying to install Zimbra, but this machine is already running an LDAP server that authenticates users.

I'm stuck in the install.sh script which requires data about the LDAP setup before continueing so I cannot get to the admin console at this point.

What can I do to make this work?

Zimbra includes its own LDAP server. You should not install this on a machine that is already running another LDAP server, it will conflict. You could potentially change ports, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

And welcome to the forums.

Thanks for the reply

I know this is not the best situation. But this is for my home environment where I have a single server with limited ram (1GB).
It's already configured as the primary LDAP server for many services (like drupal, user auth etc) and running services like Apache.

The only alternative I have to use Zimbra without putting it on that machine is virutalisation, but I'm afraid the amount of RAM is insufficient (along with the rest of the hardware).

In a corporate environment, I would never consider something like this and keep servers seperate from eachother. But in smaller and specially home environments, it would make sense...
