Default slap_open_listener: failed on ldap

Hello,
I'm trying install zimbra collaboration suite, but I have a problem with ldap configuration. I haven't much experiencia with mail server and linux.
Now, we have a Windows Exchange server run in a windows Domain.

I think the ldap must be point to my DNS server windows domain żit's this correct? I think my MX record is correct but I can't start ldap service in the zimbra server.

any idea?
thanks.

Code:
[zimbra@zimbra ~]$ /opt/zimbra/bin/ldap start
Error: /opt/zimbra/conf/slapd.conf.in does not exist
]ndaemon: bind(7) failed errno=99 (Cannot assign requested address)
slap_open_listener: failed on ldap://:389
ERROR - failed to start slapd

Why are you installing an older version of Zimbra? The current version is 5.0.6 and has many improvements. Did you install the Zimbra LDAP when you ran the install script?

the virtual appliance is a bit behind in development. you're better off using 5.0.6 and creating your own virtual machine for it. the zcs appliance is beta anyway.

You can't do that. It must be Zimbra's LDAP server because we have our own schema for things. You can only use AD for auth, not for general LDAP uses. You should install Zimbra's LDAP, and point it there.
