Guys:

Fresh install on a brand new leopard 10.5.3 machine - Any workaround for this? I suggested it as an alternative to kerio to my boss and now he's laughing at me. Please help.

Save config in file: [/opt/zimbra/config.257]

I very quick work around is to comment out line 19
/opt/zimbra/libexec/zmslapd: line 19

Quanah's gonna yell at me, so I have to let you know that it's a very temporary work around. Please file a bug.

Also, this IS NOT SUPPORTED

I'm having the same installation problem on a Mac OS Snow Leopard. Was this ever resolved? (There's no bug in bugzilla)

Can you detail exactly what line of code should be commented out (to make sure I'm commenting the correct line 19. And perhaps what the repercussions of that are?

Just comment out the line changing the limit.

Yep, I commented out

# ulimit -n 32768

but I still got the 15616 error at LAPD time.

[Note: in order to edit the zmslapd file, which is a Unix Executable File, I had to be root in terminal and edit as root.]

Hm, well, then slapd isn't starting for a different reason. You'd need to provide more detail from the installation logs to determine why.
