Default Zimbra Upgrade tips 5.02 - 5.06

Hi all, new to Zimbra and this site, but looks like a good community !

I have recently taken over administering a Zimbra server, it is running on a Mac OSX 10.4.11 (Tiger) Intel based.

I am looking at updating from 5.02 to 5.06 to fix some small annoying bugs that I and the users are coming across.

Are there any recommendations before I take the plunge ? From what I have read it should be as easy as running the .dmg file on the server, then going through the command lines in the upgrade instructions. Typically every week i run zmbackup -f -a all and then clone the entire volume to an external drive, is this adequate protection in the event something goes wrong ?

Am trying to update as smoothly as possible with the minimum of impact to my users. I assume due to the change I will be doing this after hours anyway.

Any upgrade stories or people in a similar situation to me, I'd like to hear from you. Any tips whatsoever as I get more and more used to Zimbra

tar cf /opt/zimbra.backup.tar /opt/zimbra

most reliable method of backing up before upgrading.
