Default Please help: Complicated upgrade to NE

Hi:

I've got a rather complicated upgrade to perform and just wanted to verify steps prior to doing it.

I've currently got Zimbra Open Source Edition 5.0.1 GA running on Centos 5

My goal is to get to Zimbra Network Edition 5.0.6 GA running on Ubuntu 6.0.6 LTS x86_64

I've got one machine, but I have multiple external USB backup drives.

After reading many posts on the fora, I'm not sure how to accomplish this. Should I do an in-place upgrade to NE, backup everything, install the new OS & 64-bit Network edition, restore and then upgrade to the latest version?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd suggest you upgrade your current configuration then follow the details in this document: Network Edition: Moving from 32-bit to 64-bit Server - Zimbra :: Wiki
