There are two version of Zimbra, there's an Open Source edition that's free to download and use then there's the Network Edition that's paid for and has additional features. Take a look at the Feature Comparison for the difference in the versions.

Default Zimbra License

Thanks Phoenix, but I was reading at the Zimbra Quick Start document that I need the license filename at the zimbra-store main menu for the installation, my question is I really need a license to use the open source edition?, and how many accounts can I have with the open source edition?

No, as I've already said, you can download and use the Open Source edition for free (free really does mean free in this case )- there's no requirement for a licence. You can have as many accounts on the server as you hardware will support, there's no restrictions on the Open Source version except for the features that come with Network Edition - have a look at the Feature Comparison page.
