Default SPAM information to recepient

Hi All,

Is there a way in Zimbra where the system can inform the recipient that he/she received an e-mail that has been tagged as spam?

The user is not using webmail, but just plain pop3/smtp.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Well, Zimbra uses amavisd-new to control scanning of messages for spam and viruses, so I think it really depends on the capabilities of amavisd-new. As far as I know, there isn't any way to control this from the admin console. I just did a quick search and found some recipient notification stuff, but it doesn't look like it applies to spam. I believe the thinking may be that receiving notifications for spam messages is almost as bad as getting the spam itself.

Anything that is tagged as spam will end up in the Junk folder, anything that exceeds the Spam Kill percentage gets removed. If the user wants to see it the easiest thing to do is use IMAP.

Thanks so much for the inputs. Its very much appreciated.

I was thinking of IMAP as well, and hope users will agree with it.

Thanks again.
