Default Another Local Mail Delivery Issue

I have a new Zimbra installation running on Suse 10.

Currently, I’m trying to get local mail delivery working. I’ve set my hostname to zimbra.mysite.com.

I can send e-mails, but they never get delivered to the local users.

After searching the archives I found that disabling DNS lookup should resolve my problem.

I have done that and reloaded Postfix.

However, I still can't send local mail.

What else am I missing?

Thanks,

Barry

What error are you seeing in the postfix logs?

Is the mail bouncing?

Can you send mail out?

There's no bounce...

When I look at /var/log/mail.info I have the following entry

Feb 23 10:46:07 zimbra postfix/smtp[19994]: 5A6761F993: to=, relay=none, delay=-873, status=deferred (connect to 127.0.0. 1[127.0.0.1]: Connection refused)

Something's not running, possibly amavisd.

There's no firewall on this box, right?

zmcontrol status returns what?

No...firewall is not enabled...

zmcontrol status results:

Host zimbra.highlandsdiversified.com
antispam Stopped
antivirus Stopped
ldap Running
logger Stopped
mailbox Running
mta Running
snmp Stopped
spell Running

perl problems, maybe.

You'll get some errors from:
zmamavisdctl start
cat /tmp/swatch.out

You'll find fixes in these forums, should be findable by searching on the errors you see.

Here what's being output to swatch.out

If it's a Perl problem, would simply re-installing the OS resolve it? I've already uninstalled and re-installed Zimbra, but that didn't have any impact on it.
