Default Unable to access Administration interface

Hi Guy's,

I just installed zimbra: zcs-5.0.6_GA_2313.DEBIAN4.0.20080522112011 on a Debian Etch box and am trying to access the administration inteface on port 7071 but when I try:

https://ip_address_of_server:7071

I get:

The following error was encountered:

Access Denied.
Access control configuration prevents your request from being allowed at this time. Please contact your service provider if you feel this is incorrect.

Your cache administrator is webmaster.

and when I try:

https://server.domain.com:7071

It just times out and gives me a "connection time out" for Firefox or "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" from IE...

antispam Running
antivirus Running
imapproxy Running
ldap Running
logger Running
mailbox Running
mta Running
snmp Running
spell Running
stats Running

Could anyone please point me in the right direction for fixing this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Rabbie

There should be no difference accessing your server via IP or FQDN, the error above would indicate a firewall and/or SELinux (if you have that or anything like it on Debian).

Then what's giving you this message:

Quote:
Access control configuration prevents your request from being allowed
Is this on a hosted service or your local server?

Sorry that error was from squid. I disabled the proxy on my browsers and have tried again and am now only getting timeouts. No errors..

Thanks again

Also,

netstat -na | grep 7071

shows:

tcp6 0 0 :::7071 :::* LISTEN

Is this server behind a NAT router? Do you have correct DNS A & MX records set plus a correct /etc/hosts file? Run the following commands (on the zimbra server) and post the results:

Code:
host `hostname` <-- type as-is and use backticks not single quotes
dig yourdomain.com mx
dig yourdomain.com any
cat /etc/hosts

Just checking, but are you also using the correct URL?

https://www.yourdomain.com:7071/zimbraAdmin

From the above, it appears you left out the last part.

FWIW.
