Default I can send mail out but I can not receive any!

Hello here again.....

OK as the title suggests I can now send mail out and it leaves and gets to its destination very quick.

However I am unable to get mail from outside sources.

Can any one help!

Regards

Where is the mail failing? IS it being received by your zimbra box, but not delivered?

Is there an MX record for your domain? Does it resolve to your zimbra box?

Hi Marcmac

I don't know where it is failing or how to find out.

I went to dns tools and checked my mx records this is the result:

Domain Type Class TTL Answer

freeos.co.uk. MX IN 7200 mail.freeos.co.uk. [Preference = 0]

freeos.co.uk. NS IN 7200 ns14.zoneedit.com.

freeos.co.uk. NS IN 7200 ns13.zoneedit.com.

mail.freeos.co.uk is my zimbra server.

I can certainly telnet to that domain name on port 25 and get a connection and I'm assuming it's your server as I can also get the Zimbra login page. Maybe a silly question but are you sure that people are sending you email? You have got the spam settings set too high have you? Does anything show in the zimbra logs about incoming mail?

Pheonix

Yes I know the mail is being sent because I am sending it from one of my web mail accounts, but nothing is appearing.

Yes there are post fix errors in the log but I am getting confussed here "No surprise"

I shut down postfix in services because Zimbra said it was sharing port 25

So if it is shut down why am I getting errros from it.

Should it be shut down or runnin?

zimbra installs postfix.

What errors are you getting?

ps auxww | grep postfix returns what?
