Default [SOLVED] Exim on main or Zimbra test?? Unknown Local-part user@domain.com in test.dom

Quote:
user.test@zimbratest.domain.com
(ultimately generated from user.test@domain.com)
unknown local-part "user.test" in domain "zimbratest.domain.com"
I had my Zimbra NE test server up last week. I spent the weekend sick and did not get a chance to do much with it. Yesterday evening I noticed I could not send to it any longer.

I've got it setup as a secondary mail sever "zimbratest.domain.com" along with "mail.domain.com" as the primary for "domain.com". My main server is running Exim3 as the MTA and I think this is the culprit, but I'm not sure.

Any ideas?

Could you post the actual Postfix errors from /var/log/zimbra.log please.

Also, http://www.zimbra.com/forums/announc...r-profile.html please so we know which version of ZCS you are running

Digging a bit deeper it seems this is an issue with my existing mail server. Incoming mail that is routed isn't getting past Exim for some reason now.

I'm guessing I have done something wrong while forwarding mail from the Exim server to Zimbra server. Are there any detailed instructions that anyone has run across for forwarding mail for specific users from Exim3? Do theses users need accounts on both boxes?

OK, I think I figured it out.

Quote:
#Zimbra Test Server
zimbra_route:
driver = manualroute
domains = domain.com
local_parts = user1 : user2
route_list = *xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
transport = zimbra_smtp
A bit of editing in the exim.conf file (in my case exim_incoming.conf). I added that code bit to the routers section and it works. I have aliases set up in /etc/aliases that send to the test server.

It seems to work now.

OK, scratch that last comment. If I add in the zimbra_route section all non Zimbra accounts will not work.

I'm doing something wrong here and need a hand.

Oh well, I'll call this solved as I removed all split-domain edits I had made and jsut went with a separate subdomain for simplicity.
