Default [SOLVED] Demo version expiring...

Hi,

I would like to know how to continue testing Zimbra with the Open Source edition when my NE demo will expire.
Do I have to do something ? Is the NE edition suddenly stop once the expiration date will be reached ?

Thanks to provide answers or to direct me to the right place :->

There is a thread on the forums describing what happens when your trial Licence expires, effective the NE features will continue to be available for a while but you will not be able to create any new accounts on your server (even if you have not used the full count of users). If you need to create more accounts you would have to run an 'update' install of the Open Source version on your server.

The simplest thing to do, if you need more time to test NE, is to get in touch with your sales contact and get an extension of the trial.

OK, thanks...
If I well understand what you call an "Update Install of the Open Version" it means that I download teh Open Source version, upload it to the server and run into an update installation.
Am I safe to think that everything created with the NE version be conserved ?

You understand correctly.

Yes, all the user date (mail, calendars etc.) will remain but obviously without any NE features. The usual advice applies, take a backup of the complete /opt/zimbra directory before updating your system and use exactly the same version to do the Open Source upgrade.
