Question NE and OSS in same setup?

Hi,

We have setup a multi-server installation (ldap, 2x mta, imap-proxy, storage each on one server) of Zimbra Network Edition and its really doing a good job.

But we have also scenarios where we do not need features of the network edition, say just for basic emailing.

Is it possibly to do a "mixed" setup having one zimbra server with network edition and another with the opensource edition integrated with the same ldap/mta/proxy servers?

Another question on this topic is, if there is a chance to proxy the UI between both network and opensource edition.

Best regards, thanks in advance,
Andi

Welcome to the forums,

Against the same LDAP master/share the same admin console for management/just have some users or servers NE & some FOSS -No.

As 2 independent systems in a Split Domain - Zimbra :: Wiki - Yes.
-You could make the NE or FOSS primary and the other secondary.
-I'll let other's share what they might have tried for proxies on that kind of setup.

Hi,

thanks a lot for your answer. I assume, we're going onto two seperate systems...

Therefore, another question comes up regarding rebranding/licence... We're not allowed to rebrand the opensource-edition even if we're having a network edition licence, right?

Thanks again,
Andi
